WE ARE DOING WELL – WE WANT TO SHARE THIS GOOD FORTUNE WITH OTHERS
With us, it's all about people and their work. Social commitment and the active take-over of social responsibility therefore have a high priority for division one and its employees. We consequently engage in social initiatives and projects and continue to extend our support to various causes.
From the attitude of "We are doing well - we want to share this good fortune with others," the idea was born to start providing activities on a regular basis for the children and young people of St. Josef-house. We want to get the children out of their usual environment and their often wearisome everyday lives and give them an unusual experience. Each year, therefore, the entire staff of division one gets together with a group of children from the Children's Center of St. Joseph to face new sports as well as mental challenges. In recent years, in addition to our common "HAPPY DAY", events such as canoeing, climbing in a forest climbing garden, building canoes and visiting a Porsche production facility took place. For the division one staff this day is always a special experience, since it is necessary to leave everyday life behind and to win the hearts of the children with enthusiasm and affection in order to make them happy. It’s often small things that conjure a beautiful smile on the young faces.
The children’s positive feedback in form of conversations, letters, or even personal contact motivate us to keep going and therefore to contribute to our immediate environment. Over the past years, great friendships between colleagues and these children have already resulted. In the future, we want to specifically promote these relations and support the children and young people’s development individually. For us as recruiters, of course, the focus is on supporting in the area of school and jobs. Thanks to our corporate contacts in particular, we can help children find suitable training and internships.

St. Josef Stuttgart
St. Joseph has dedicated itself to assisting the residents of the neighborhoods Stuttgart-Ost and Bad Cannstatt in everyday life – in particular parents and children. It is a place of acceptance, care and support; a place that demonstrates that life can and should be fun. St. Joseph sees itself as an educational institution that is based on the individual needs of children according to their life situation and their stage of development.
In the daycare facility, children from different nations, cultures and religions are cared for. Staff here work with their heads, hands and hearts and together they apply values such as openness and confidence, courage and mutual respect – values based on the exemplary life of St. Francis of Assisi.
Since 2007, Caritas and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in Baden-Württemberg annually award small and medium-sized companies that engage socially with the SME Award. With these Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, partners actually take on responsibility and therefore strengthen the civil society in the state. In order to contribute to solving social problems, companies provide – depending on the project – not only material assistance such as donations, endowment contributions or sponsorship activities, but also other resources such as employee commitment or technical know-how.
For the commitment with St. Joseph, division one was awarded "Engaged Socially" by the LEA SME Award. The attendance record of 258 applications in 2014 is impressive proof that companies in the southwest of Germany fully stand behind their social responsibility. Credible CSR activities that are borne out within the companies are a key to future economic success.
